Tennis Tournament

The sun was brightly shinning that summer day.

“Heads or tails”, the official asked.

“Tails” , I said.

My prediction of the coin toss was right, I then decided I wanted to receive the ball first. My hands were already sweating a bit.

This was was the Championship.

I was even more stressed because I was playing against one of my former soccer teammate. This didn’t stop me from losing my determination from winning. I then got low in ready position. The first ball came towards me I hit with no aggression. But then the ball came back to me, I then sung with 60% of my power.

I succeeded.

Throughout the game their were many many rallies back and forth. I won the 1st game… 2nd game… 3rd game and all every other game until the 6th game. The six game my opponent beat me, but I was able to win the 7th game. I won that set 6-1. I just needed to win one more set for my victory.

My opponent and I took about 7 minutes for a quick break. Then we headed back on the court to finish the match up.

But this time she was on a winning strike, game one went by then two and three and four. I tried to put my head in the game. I then won a game. The score was now 1-4. I kind- of guessed this set was going to be a “toughly”. My predication was incorrect though, I was able to catch up to her, it was 4-4 now. The wind was blowing in now. This meant good and bad. She was able to beat me in the 9th game, with the wind helping her curve her balls. All she needed was one more game to tie the sets. I just need to win two more games. I won the next game with putting everything I had left. It was getting real intense now. Once we started the 11th game, she was starting to lose much of her energy while I was filled with a little bit more energy then her. The 11th game want to me. Now, I just need ONE MORE GAME.

It was my turn to serve too. I tossed the ball up in the air and then swung down. I missed, it landed out. I tried again with my second serve… it didn’t make it in. Game score was: 0-15. She served and it landed in her first try. I was able to return it to her, but I had the return tricky. I gave her a short ball to run to and she wasn’t able to return it back. Game score: 15 all. I served and aced it, which gave me an automatic point. Game score: 30-15. I served again and she returned it as a long ball, I backed up and swung for a return back. She then got in position and swung hard, but her ball landed out, by an inch. Game score: 40-15. My serve still. I tossed the ball straight up and got my grip in a firm position and swung. She returned it back to me smoothly then I returned it smoothly. All of a sudden she started coming up to the net. I put my arm high in the air, in a position to give her a overhead and I did it!
I won my 3rd Tournament of that summer!

Weather

The clouds started to puff up, like marshmallows. It was not a clear day but not a foggy day. The wind was calm and light. The streets were silent. The temperature was rising. The chimneys were filled with smoke evaporation. The trees started to freeze with the little water they had, from the drizzle the night before.

The clouds grew to an extra large size.
The clouds burst…
There was now white lushes substance on the ground.
SNOW!

Barton Creek Ice Skating

This past Friday night I went Ice skating for the first time, since 2 years ago. My plans were different before through. I was suppose to go to Dallas for a swim meet, but they cancelled it last minute because of pretty bad whether conditions. I personally was glad it was cancelled, because then I was able to ice skate with my friend.
I went on my bus, sat down and got on my phone. Sense I have my phone on silent in my locker the whole day, I never see text or hear them. But, Once I pressed the home button, there was a message waiting for me. It was from my friend saying, Your going ice skating with me!!! My body went from sluggish movement to excitement movement, as I walked to my house, from the bus stop. Then, she came to picked me up.
Once we got to the ice rink there was really nobody there. I liked it to, it’s like it was all to ourselves. Then, our mouths became frozen sen e it was freezing outside. So, we got some hot chocolate and sat by the bonfire, set up. It was the best feeling ever. After we finished our hot chocolate, more people started showing up. By the time we got back on the ice, there was about 23 people on too. But, the session was almost over anyways. But, the most important part is that I had the best time of my life with my friend.

Wyldlife

Last night I went on the Late night bus tour for Wyldlife. I had the best time of my life. I got to meet new people, laugh like crazy, and be with one of my friends from school plus a bunch of 6th graders.

First, we waited for all the buses to come, for like an hour. We then took a 30 minute drive to a roller skating center.

I hadn’t been to a skate center in like 2 years. So, when I first stepped on the slippery surface, with my roller skates, my heart skipped a beat. I was filled with fear. As I slowly moved around, through the floor, I started to get better and better. Then, I was able to really skate. Thankfully I never fell on the ground.

After a WHOLE two hours of roller skating, we headed toward Main Event, which is an arcade game place.

Once we got off the bus, we ran strait toward the games, but there was also bowling, laser tag, and glow in the dark mini golf. We had ten dollars to spend on games. I played about 16 games. One game was my all time favorite game, it was a game were you shout basketballs into a basket, and you have 30 seconds on the clock. I made 40 balls in the basket! Once we were tired of playing games, we decided to play bowling.

As the night grew darker, we had to head back to the buses. This meant we where going back home.

This event was probably my favorite event I have ever done, in Texas!

Winter

My favorite season is winter. The warmth by the fireplace, the cozy blankets, and cuddling with my dog are the best. When the clear rain drops in the air, turn into white snowflakes, my heart leaps with excitement.

When I lived in Nashville it would snow about 8-11 times, every winter. This would cause school to be cancelled. Then, we would have the whole day to our selfs to enjoy the snow.

One of my favorite memories from experiencing snow was, December 25, 2011.

I woke up to open my presents and then unwrapped them and of course the blinds were closed. Once we played around with our gifts for a while. Then, I opened the garage to throw the trash, that was filled with rapping paper. As soon as the garage opened I saw a white blanket of SNOW covered all over my drive way, and once the garage opened all the way everything was covered with SNOW!

Skiing

Skiing is so much fun! Going down the steep slopes are the best. The very first time I skied down a hill was in 2010.

I felt like I was going to die as soon as I headed toward the bottom of the hill. But, I squeezed my ski poles to death and I tried to keep my eyes wide open. Then, all of a sudden my body started to relax. The second I felt this moment, I knew I was safe, at the bottom of the hill. I headed back to the ski lifts for my 2nd round. This was the year I mastered skiing down slopes.

Volleyball

I absolutely love playing volleyball. It builds your self-esteem. Which is a characteristic that is important to me. Teamwork is also developed in volleyball. We get to regroup after every point is played, even if we are losing. But, there is only one little thing that bothers me about volleyball. It’s that, sometimes the coach wants to give everyone equal playing time, and if you have been playing pretty good, in the game. Then, I think you should stay in the whole game. Another thing that can irritates me something’s is when, you serve and the other team passes the volleyball over, so perfectly that we lose the point.
