Winter

My favorite season is winter. The warmth by the fireplace, the cozy blankets, and cuddling with my dog are the best. When the clear rain drops in the air, turn into white snowflakes, my heart leaps with excitement.

When I lived in Nashville it would snow about 8-11 times, every winter. This would cause school to be cancelled. Then, we would have the whole day to our selfs to enjoy the snow.

One of my favorite memories from experiencing snow was, December 25, 2011.

I woke up to open my presents and then unwrapped them and of course the blinds were closed. Once we played around with our gifts for a while. Then, I opened the garage to throw the trash, that was filled with rapping paper. As soon as the garage opened I saw a white blanket of SNOW covered all over my drive way, and once the garage opened all the way everything was covered with SNOW!

  1. Nashville and snow…I’ve driven through Tennessee in the winter, and it was so beautiful. One of my favorite Christmas songs is about Tennessee and the holidays.

  2. Winter is my favorite season too! I love snuggling in fluffy sweaters by the flickering fireplace. It’s golden glow is warm and cozy on the hearth. I love the hot chocolate, with mini marshmallows melting into a creamy swirl in the dark liquid. When I take a sip I smile giddily, my tongue thick with the hot drink and I just slide deep into the cushy couch silently. Sometimes I get to crush Reese’s and drop the bits into the hot chocolate, the little dark droplets splashing around. I let the smooth liquid spill it’s warmth and comfort over my lips and down my throat and I savor every little bit of the chocolatey goodness. Even if my tongue is seared at the tip, I just swiftly tip my head back and gulp the rest to get a fat blast of flavor. I snatch the mug, glance briefly over the rim and see the emptiness inside. But then I pat my tummy and grin wide at the frosty cold outside, then I tug on some UGG’s, jeans, and a thick knit sweater and slip into the crackly icy land ou there!!!
